Almost nothing
is collected

ABOUT SOPHIE CUNNINGHAM is a reading site. There are no accounts, no comment threads, no newsletters and no advertising networks, so there is very little to collect in the first place.

1. Scope of this policy

1.1 What this site is

ABOUT SOPHIE CUNNINGHAM is a reading site with no accounts, no logins, no newsletter, no comment system, no search box and no working contact form. Section 2 lists what this means in practice.

1.2 Accuracy of this policy

This policy describes the site as it is actually built on 7 September 2026, not features that may be added later. Section 6 covers what would change first if that happens.

2. What is not collected

2.1 No reader records

  • No user accounts, logins or reader profiles exist.
  • No newsletter, contact form or comment system collects your details.
  • No personal information is sold, rented or shared with data brokers.

2.2 No analytics or advertising

No analytics product, tag manager, advertising network, consent platform, heat-mapping tool, CAPTCHA or social tracking pixel is installed on these pages. Visitor numbers are therefore not measured by this publication at all.

3. What is unavoidably processed

3.1 Hosting and delivery

Like any website, this one is delivered by a hosting and content-delivery provider, which processes ordinary technical request information — such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested — in order to serve the page and protect it from abuse. Those server-side logs are held by the provider under its own retention practices, and this publication does not build reader profiles from them.

3.2 Third parties your browser contacts

Two third parties receive a request from your browser when a page loads, which means they can see your IP address and browser information:

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) — supplies the typefaces used across the site.
  • Wikimedia Commons (commons.wikimedia.org and upload.wikimedia.org) — serves the licensed photographs directly from their source, so that each image stays tied to its licence.

Neither is used for advertising or measurement by this publication, and each handles that request under its own privacy terms.

4. Cookies and browser storage

4.1 Current position

This site sets no cookies of its own and writes nothing to local or session storage. There is no advertising, profiling or personalisation storage, and consequently no consent banner — because there is nothing to consent to.

4.2 If that changes

Any future cookie, analytics or advertising technology would be disclosed here, and where consent is legally required in your region it would be requested before that technology runs — not afterwards.

5. External links, children and your rights

5.1 External links

Source links point to third-party sites such as news outlets, league and university pages and Wikimedia Commons. Once you follow one, that site's own privacy practices apply. Outbound source and licence links carry nofollow and noopener.

5.2 Children

This is a general-audience editorial site and is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.

5.3 Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held about you. Because this site holds no reader records beyond the hosting provider's technical logs, such requests will usually be answered by explaining that there is nothing on file. The contact page explains how a request or concern can be raised.

6. Changes to this policy

6.1 New features

If the site ever adds something that collects information — a contact form, for example — this page will be updated before that feature goes live, not after.

6.2 Review date

The date shown below is the date this policy was last checked against the actual code of the site, not merely the date it was edited.

This policy describes practice, not aspiration, and was last reviewed 7 September 2026. It is general information rather than legal advice.
