She wanted longer, and said so

She reached the 2026 off-season as an unrestricted free agent and re-signed with Indiana for a single season. Speaking on Show Me Something, the podcast she co-hosts, in April 2026, she called the situation “a little, kind of frustrating”: she had wanted the security of a longer-term arrangement, and the deal she signed was for one year. She returned to the subject afterwards to say the remark “made me sound snotty and ungrateful, and that is the last thing I ever want”, and that she was happy to be back.

The first off-season under the new CBA

The deal was signed in the first off-season under the collective bargaining agreement ratified in March 2026, which raised the ceiling on what WNBA clubs can pay. A $665,000 salary would not have been possible a season earlier, and it still sits well below the new maximum.

Bonuses, options and earlier salaries

The reporting does not describe bonuses, incentives, options or triggers inside the deal. Published career-earnings totals for her eight WNBA seasons disagree with one another.

What the Fever pay, and what they do not

The $665,000 is her basketball salary. It is separate from her commercial work, which by August 2026 ran to seven partnerships, the most recent being Once Upon A Coconut, announced by the company on 17 August 2026. It is separate again from her USA Network studio role and her podcast. None of those announcements discloses a fee. They are described on off the court.
