Who owns
what here
1. The editorial text
1.1 What is claimed
The written content, page structure, design and code of this site are original work created for ABOUT SOPHIE CUNNINGHAM. Nothing else on this page is claimed as this publication's property.
1.2 What is not claimed
No copyright is claimed in facts, statistics, third-party photographs, trademarks or quoted material merely because they appear here. Facts themselves are not owned by anyone.
1.3 Quoting this site
Short passages may be quoted with attribution and a link, for commentary, criticism, reporting or research. Pages may not be republished wholesale or presented as another publication's work.
2. The photographs
2.1 Ownership and licence
The 8 photographs used here are not this publication's property. Each is a Wikimedia Commons file published by its photographer under a Creative Commons licence — Attribution or Attribution-ShareAlike, as shown on its entry — and each keeps its own licence; appearing here changes nothing about it.
2.2 How the licence conditions are met
Every appearance names the photographer and the licence version and links to the licence text; the file page, source link, capture date and any cropping are recorded on the photo credits page. Photographers do not endorse this publication.
2.3 Photography that is not used
Commercially licensed photography — including the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot — is described in words and never reproduced. No agency, team or social-media imagery is used.
3. Trademarks and names
3.1 Third-party marks
“Indiana Fever”, “Phoenix Mercury”, “WNBA”, “Missouri Tigers”, “Sports Illustrated” and all related marks belong to their respective owners and are used here as plain text, descriptively, for identification and commentary.
3.2 No logos in this site's branding
Official team, league and university logos, crests and stylised wordmarks are not used as part of this publication's own branding or interface — not in its icon, favicon, social card or backgrounds. Licensed editorial photographs may incidentally contain uniforms, venue signage or third-party marks visible in the original scene. No sponsorship, endorsement or association is implied. About Sophie Cunningham is an independent editorial publication. It is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with Sophie Cunningham, her representatives, Indiana Fever, the WNBA, or any other team, league or organization discussed on this website.
4. Personal rights
4.1 Name and likeness
Sophie Cunningham's name and likeness are used to identify and report on the subject of this publication, whose public professional career is the subject matter. They are not used as a mark of this publication and not used to sell anything; this site sells nothing.
4.2 If advertising is ever added
There is no advertising, sponsorship, affiliate link or merchandise anywhere on this site today. Should display advertising ever be introduced, it would be labelled and separated from editorial content so that no advertiser could appear to be endorsed by, or endorsing, the subject.
5. Rights, correction and takedown requests
5.1 Photograph and licence concerns
If you hold rights in a photograph and believe it is misattributed or wrongly licensed, the file is re-checked against its licence, and it is removed if the licence cannot be re-confirmed. No formal statutory notice is required to have that check carried out.
5.2 Text and factual concerns
If you believe text here infringes your rights or states something inaccurate, identify the page and the passage and it will be reviewed on the same basis, and corrected where the evidence requires. The contact page explains how to raise either.
5.3 What is not promised
This is a small independent publication with no staffed legal or editorial department. No response time is guaranteed, and content is not removed automatically simply because a complaint is made — each request is reviewed on its merits, and acted on where it is justified.
